Deputy Jack Frame was killed in a two-vehicle accident during a high-speed pursuit of a stolen vehicle from Mansfield, Ohio.

The 19-year-old suspect had reportedly left a Greenfield service station without paying for $1.40 worth of gasoline and the Indiana State Police began pursuing the car.

As Deputy Frame and another deputy were en route northbound on Centerville Road, an eastbound vehicle with four female teenagers pulled into the path of their squad car at an intersection.

Deputy Frame was transported to Reid Memorial Hospital where he died the following day. All four teenaged occupants of the other vehicle were killed.

Deputy Frame was survived by his wife, brother and parents.
